He was born April 7, 1952 in New York City, New York and came to Brooksville three years ago from Cary, North Carolina. He earned his Bachelor's Degree at St. John University in Queens, New York, was an accountant for Coopers & Lybrand in New York City and for the Department of Insurance in North Carolina for 20 years. He owned several Mobil gas stations in Connecticut, was a member of the Rockaway Point Volunteer Fire Department, obtained his private pilot's license, and enjoyed scuba diving. He was Catholic by faith and attended St. Anthony the Abbot Catholic Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clement Sr. and Charlotte Johnson; brother, Clement Johnson Jr., John Johnson; and his sister, Bernadette Johnson. He is survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert & Katie Johnson of Tariffville, Connecticut, Timothy & Barbara Johnson of Rockaway Point, New York; sisters-in-law, Joan Johnson of Brooksville, Florida and Anne Johnson of Farmingdale, New York; brother-in-law, Lawrence Lee Jr. of Southington, Connecticut; 12 nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Gathering for family and friends will be held from 4:00-6:00pm, Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel.
