MORTON, Robert J., age 81 of Spring Hill passed away Monday, June 27, 2016 at Solaris Healthcare Bayonet Point. Born in Omaha, Nebraska he came to this area in 1992 from Stamford, Ct. He worked as a General Traffic Manager for Union Pacific Railroad for 36 years, was a U.S. Marine Corp Veteran and member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. Robert also belonged to the Traffic Club of New York, was past president of the YMCA in Pocatello, Idaho and general chairman of the United Campaign in Pocatello. Survivors include his wife of 57 years: Nancy J.; son: Robert A. Morton of Rhode Island; daughters & sons-in-law: Nanette & John Chiappetta of New York and Patricia A. & David West of New York; sisters: Mary Mumm & Jean Kalina of Nebraska and Nancy Kozela of California and 5 grandchildren: Johnny, Nicholas, Tony, Amanda & Joe. A memorial mass will take place 9:30am Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. Inurnment with Military Honors will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
