Robert G. Batten

He was born May 7, 1955 in Dade City, Florida and lived most of his life in Brooksville.  He was a heavy equipment operator for Hernando County and was a member of Spring Lake United Methodist Church.  He loved to fish and enjoyed fishing tournaments, cooking and working in the garden.

He is survived by his brothers: Charles "Buddy" Batten, John W. Batten, Kenneth "Wayne" Batten and William "Dale" Batten, all of Brooksville, Florida; sisters and brothers-in-law: Charlotte and Ted Kiefer of Dade City, Florida and Shirley and David Price of Brooksville, Florida.

A Visitation for family and friends will take place from 10:00-11:00am, Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel, where Funeral Services begin at 11:00am, with Reverend David Hope officiating.  Burial will follow at Johnson-Batten Cemetery.
