Richard Philip Knighton

He was born January 10, 1970 in Brooksville, Florida and returned to Brooksville 30 years ago from Lutz, Florida.  He worked as a well driller and was a member of Eden Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Lee Knighton and his sister, Pamela Marie Gochenaur.  He is survived by his mother, Exer Thomas Knighton of Brooksville, Florida; daughters, Samantha Huckaby (David) of Lake Wales, Florida, Brittney Knighton (Kyle) of Tampa, Florida, and Shelby Mennenger (Heinrich) of San Antonio, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda & Tom Richard of Wesley Chapel, Florida; grandchildren, Ian, Zachary, Oaklynn, Bailee, Watson, and Amelia.

A Visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00-11:00am, Friday, May 21, 2021 at Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel, where Funeral Services begin at 11:00am, with Pastor Zeb Bishop officiating.  Burial will follow at Lake Lindsey Cemetery.
