Reverend Paul A. Light

Born November 15, 1927 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Rufus & Carrie Light. Paul was an accomplished minister of several Wesleyan churches for over 40 years. When he retired from ministry, he worked as a missionary until the age of 94. He served all over the world in mission fields. Paul received a Doctorate of Ministry (DMin) in 2013 and Doctorate of Theology (Th.D) in 2014.

Paul married his first wife, Lucille Washburn, in Jellico, Tennessee on November 15, 1952 and was married until her passing in 2006 in Brooksville, Florida. He then met and married Melba (Davis) Churchhill in November 2008.

Paul is preceded in death by his first wife, Lucille Light; his son, Paul Timothy Light; brother, Lloyd Light; and sister, Blanch Atkins. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Melba Light; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon Light-Hagedorn & Chad Hagedorn; granddaughters, Megan Hagedorn and Jennifer Hagedorn.

Services will be held at 10:30am on May 9, 2025 at Brooksville Cemetery, 1275 Olmes Road, Brooksville, FL 34601.
