Mathew Gargano

GARGANO, Mathew, age 43 of Hernando, FL died Friday, September 18, 2015 at his home.  Born in Boston, Massachusetts he came here 30 years ago from Taunton, Massachusetts.  He was a Journeyman with the Millwrights Union in Tampa, U.S. Army Veteran of the Gulf War Era, an avid Boston Red Sox and Tampa Bay Buccaneer Fan and was of the Catholic faith.  He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Gargano, Sr.  Survivors include his son:  Noah of Tampa; mother: Arlene “Angel” Gargano of Hernando; brothers & sister-in-law:  Mike Gargano, Jr. of Missouri City, TX and Adam & Natalie Gargano of Citrus Springs, FL, as well as his extended family members from coast to coast.  Visitation for friends will be 3 – 5pm, Thursday, September 24, 2015 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00am, Friday, September 25, 2015 at St. Scholastica Catholic Church with Father JoJo Tejada officiating.  Military honors will follow at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.  Flowers are welcome, however, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
