Mary "June" Turner

She was born August 10, 1944 in Opp, Alabama and came to Brooksville 71 years ago from Florala, Alabama.  She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  She enjoyed sewing, crafting, and lunch with friends.  Her greatest joy in her life was her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Earl Turner; her parents, Homer & Esther Mae (Maddox) Jackson; brothers, Horace, Hollis, and Morris Jackson; and sister, Willene Purvis.  She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Charles “Allen” & Angel May Turner of Weeki Wachee, Florida; daughter, Tammy Lynn Turner Smith of Brooksville, Florida; grandchildren, Preston, Dalton, Dana, and Hailey; and her very first great-grandson, Mason, to be welcomed in June 2022.

A Visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00am-12:00pm, Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel, where Funeral Services begin at 12:00pm.  Burial will follow at Brooksville Cemetery.
