Mary “Kitty” Catherine Dooley Cockrell, 80, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2023 after a brief illness. Mary was born on September 23, 1942 in Abington, PA. She was an avid bowler on a bowling team, loved line dancing and was also the lunch mom and band nana for Citrus High School for 4 years. Mary worked at IGA Federal Credit Union in PA. She was the drive-thru queen at McDonald’s. Mary also loved traveling and doted on her grandchildren and her dogs.
Mary is predeceased by her first husband of 32 years, Wayne S. Dooley whom they shared 4 children together and her second husband, Michael L. Cockrell. Also predeceased by a son, Daniel Dooley and a brother, James P. Sullivan.
She is survived by a son, James A. Dooley and daughters, Lara Lynn Aumick and Jennifer (Tony) Dooley-Huston, 3 Grandchildren, Jonathan, Austin and Tyler, and 2 sisters, Susan Winsor and Teresa Sullivan.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 17, 2023 at 10am at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
