Marjorie Raines Sellers passed peacefully to heaven August 13, 2018 in Brooksville, Florida. She was born in Clarkesville, Iowa on March 3, 1925 to Quincy Donald Raines and Lauretta Wolf Raines before moving to Brooksville, Florida in the same year. Margie graduated from Hernando High School and married her beloved husband, Harvey Blair Sellers III in 1946 before moving to Key West. She was bookkeeper for the family business, Sellers Monroe Motor Company, active in the Old Stone Methodist Church and Beta Sigma Phi while there. They returned to Brooksville in 1955 and Margie worked for Brooksville Citrus Growers, Hernando State Bank, SunTrust and Rogers' Christmas House. She was a Sunday School Teacher at First United Methodist Church and active in Junior Service League and everything that involved children. She loved the Lord, her husband, her family, all children, and her farm and garden.
Survivors include three sons: William Raines Sellers and wife Helen, Harvey Blair Sellers IV and wife Teri, Richard Quince Sellers and wife Michelle; two daughters: Susan Sellers Whittle and husband Ken, Patti Sellers LaPete and husband Frank; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Margie is also survived by her two beloved sisters: Mary Lee Shell and Sally Raines Gomer and husband Larry; over 50 nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews. Margie is preceded in death by her loving husband, Harvey Blair Sellers III, her parents, Quincy Donald and Lauretta Raines, her sisters, Naomi McKinnon, Quinn Lopez, Grace Wylupek and her granddaughter, Sierra Lauretta.
Family and friends are invited to a Celebration Memorial Service at First United Methodist Church in Brooksville, Florida at 11:00am, Thursday, August 16, 2018.
