So sorry for your loss. Prayers to your family. 

As I sit and reflect on my Pa's passing, I remember his smile that lit up his face. I remember my Pa's laughter that would fill a room with the sound of joy and happiness. I can still his voice calling from another room in the house, "Norma!" and this fills my heart with knowing how very blessed we are to have had such a great blessing in our lives and we called him Pa. I was putting fuel in my car the other day and as crazy as this sounds, the smell of gasoline and oil at a service station, fills my mind with such great memories. The memory of Pa building clubhouses for us out of fruit crates by the old Texaco, or giving us soda boxes to slide down the big sand mountain behind the old Sunoco. Those were the days, where we appreciated simple fun and using our imaginations. We all looked forward to going to Granny and Pa's house to see Pa's trains too. Pa always had a train set. In the Georgia house, he built a room especially for his trains. I remember going to the 1980 World's Fair and we had to go see a train exhibit there as it was an amazing site. I remember going to Williamsburg and Pa laughing with me at how silly those men looked in their funny wigs and ruffled blouses. These are the memories we will all hold so dear to our hearts. I love you Pa, give our family in God's kingdom in heaven a hug for me. 

I know we are all feeling a little bit sad,That we've lost our Pa, our friend and our dad.Together we have cried an ocean of tearsAs we feel so empty and hold many fears.But Pa would want us to know he's in a good placeAnd that he's watching us all with a smile on his face,As we have made him so proud, as proud as can beThat he has raised such a beautiful and special family.Thinking back now I really must sayI feel lucky and privileged to have known Pa to this day.For in my life, you have played a special part.The memories I will treasure and keep close to my heart.For me, I am glad my babies he got to meet.And for all of us, be grateful, his life is now complete.To each one of us he has loved and cared,And a family, be thankful for the good times we shared.Although he has gone, we will always be together,And his spirit will live on in each one of us forever.When you look to the sky, look for the brightest star,As that will be Pa looking down on us from afar.And now I would like to thank the good Lord aboveFor blessing us with our Pa, with his kindness and love.Dear God, if it is not too much fuss,Take extra special care of our Pa, for he is very dear to us.Pa, if you are listening, say a prayer for us every day.Be sure to protect us and guide us on our way.We know when God called you, you had to go,But we want you to know, Pa, we miss you and love you so.
