VanScoyoc, Karl N., Jr., 85, of Brooksville, Florida, died Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Heron Pointe Health and Rehabilitation.
He was born in Colòn, Panama on December 7, 1931 and came to this area 30 years ago from St. Petersburg, Florida. He was a United States Army Veteran and worked as a letter carrier for the US Postal Service. He was of the Methodist faith.
He is survived by his son, James Nelson VanScoyoc of Jacksonville, Florida; daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Robert Elliott of Washington, Cheryle Sykes and Jackie Matheny of St. Petersburg, Florida; June VanScoyoc of Bellaire Beach, Florida; brother, Donald VanScoyoc; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Inurnment with military honors will be held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida, at a later date.
