Julie L. Martin

Born October 21, 1959 in Brooksville, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth & Gail Batten. Julie was a devoted wife, mother, friend, and the best Nana in the world. She worked retail for most of her life before becoming disabled.

Julie loved spending time with friends and family, especially her granddaughters. She had a lifelong love for fishing and the outdoors and had a larger-than-life personality who loved to make others laugh with her silly impersonations.

Julie will be remembered and loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Although her life was cut short, her love will remain with us forever.

Julie is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth & Gail Batten; brother, Joseph “Joe” Batten; sister, Déne Batten; and nephew, Adam Batten. She is survived by her ex-husband, Alan Martin; sons and daughters-in-law, Jerrod & Pam Martin, Robert & April Martin, and Heath Martin; brother, William “Bill” Batten; beloved grandchildren, Haley, Kelly, and Zoey; nephew, Brian Batten; many aunts and cousins.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Brooksville Cemetery (1275 Olmes Road, Brooksville, FL 34601), with Quentin Miller officiating.
