So many memories of my "growing up" years in Shelby...Some of my fondest involved John.  The times in the high school study hall, communicating back and forth on our morse code beepers for practice...I really think we did it just to annoy our teacher!  John would have made a great engineer, but instead chose a much more selfless path of becoming a teacher.  I credit him for educating me at an early age on what IS and what is NOT technically correct w/regard to the hobby/passion of audio.  I still have speaker design questions that you need to answer for me John!  I'll never forget that sound system at the senior party one year.  I also remember rowing his family boat across Crystal Lake while John swam his laps, or car-pooling to "West Shore Comm Coll", as John called it.  You may now be gone my friend, but you will never be forgotten.  Dit-dah-dit dit dit-dit-dit dah  dit-dit dah-dit  dit-dah-dah-dit dit dit-dah dah-dit-dah-dit dit KA8BIP  dah-dit-dit dit KA8BIO.

John was such a kind and careing soul. His patience and understanding made him the excallant elementary teacher he was. He will be greatly missed by all.

I have so many memories with Mr. McIntyre He was one of my favorite middle school teachers of all times.  I remember walking into class being the first one in and he'd always say to me. ''Wow you're always the early one in here!''  I also knew his daughter as we were best friends back in the good days of middle school.  I am so sorry to hear about him passing. God bless, prayers are being sent to his wonderful family. 

Remember the gigantic speakers he built at the cottage?John sure did rock the lake.

I remember John,s first step's, I remember his first Armature license. He loved to come to my shop and fix things, I still see him in my mind as a young boy. He was a good teacher, and loving father. God will bless and keep him, till all of us reach forever.

I have so many good memories from growing up with you.My fave is when your dad bought the John Deer and a mini tractor with a wagon.So sorry you had to leave so soon.Forever in our hearts.

I always wondered what happened to John. I knew he had moved to Florida. I’m glad to hear that he raised a family there. He was a very close friend of mine growing up. He introduced me to stereo equipment, soldering, steely Dan, ping pong, cutting open golf balls, doobie bros, we had a lot of good times.
