Jim was born April 30, 1961 in Burlington, Vermont. He was a lifelong resident of Cape Elizabeth, Maine, graduated from Cape Elizabeth High School, and was affectionately known as “Big Daddy” by his classmates. An avid hockey player, Jim played a number of years on the Men’s Industrial League of Portland as a left winger. His love of sports also included football, baseball, skiing, and collecting sports memorabilia. Playing chess was another favorite pastime of his. He loved to listen to classic rock, especially Steely Dan. During his school years, Jim could often be found skiing every weekend at Sunday River. More recently, you could find him cruising in his classic Mustang convertible. Jim had a great affection for playing the drums and played in many local bands in Maine and Florida, including Hussey Sound and The Road Kings. Jim loved boating and waterskiing on Sebago Lake and Casco Bay.
Jim enjoyed sharing his interests with his two beloved children, Spencer & Olivia, the loves of his life. His sense of humor will truly be missed by them and all others who knew him.
Jim is predeceased by his father, Lewis H Moore Jr.; brother-in-law, Red Atkins; and nephew, William Atkins.
