He was born August 12, 1940 in Beatrice, Nebraska to Frank and Dorothea Hadley. Jack was one of eight children and is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jim and David Hadley; sisters, Joan Graham, Carol Weber, June Hyslop, and Janet Hyslop.
Jack honorably served in the Army National Guard for six years and then graduated from the University of Nebraska. He worked in marketing and sales in Nebraska and South Dakota before moving his family to Plano, Texas in the 70’s. Jack was an Insurance Professional with Liberty Mutual and several independent agencies in the Dallas area. In 1999, he relocated to San Antonio,Texas where he was associated with the Dreiss Insurance Agency of Boerne, Texas as a Life and Health Agent. Since 2017 he was the co-owner of Hadley and Hadley Insurance Agency focusing on senior insurance products. He was active at Holy Spirit Episcopal Church and involved with many committees and projects. He was an advocate for the local Habitat for Humanity and participated in the Diocese Builders of West Texas. In December 2020, Jack and his wife moved to Brooksville, Florida to begin their semi-retirement in the Florida sunshine.
Jack was passionate about music. He was a songwriter and musician. He was also a classic and muscle car enthusiast. He loved his Nebraska Huskers, Dallas Cowboys, and San Antonio Spurs. Jack was a caring and loving husband and father. He had a great sense of humor and always brought a smile or chuckle to lighten up the day. He will be sorely missed by his family and many friends and clients.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Linda Hadley; daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl Jo & Brian Semff of San Antonio, Texas and Suzanne & Mark Luna of Texas City, Texas; stepson and daughter-in-law, Alan & Michelle Nusz of Wesley Chapel, Florida; brother and sister-in-law, Darrell & Dora Hadley of Albion, Nebraska; four grandchildren, Jacob Graham, Aidan Luna, Justin Nusz, and Katie Nusz; and four great-grandchildren.
