He was born in Helechawa, Kentucky on May 27, 1941 and graduated from Shawnee High School. Howard proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1959-1962. He married the love of his life, Rose Marie Vohun, on August 25, 1962. Howard worked for Kraseman Construction for 28 years and was a member of Grace Tabernacle Independent Baptist Church. He had a passion for woodworking and loved attending his children’s and grandchildren’s sports and activities.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Rose Marie King; his children, Thomas King (Brigette), Bobby King (Liz), Michael King (Kathy), and Mark King (Jessica); nine grandchildren; and many nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his sister, Aileen Skolis.
A Celebration of Life Gathering for family and friends will be held from 10:00-11:00am, Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Grace Tabernacle Independent Baptist Church, 1661 West Jefferson Street, Brooksville, Florida 34601, where Celebration of Life Services begin at 11:00am.
