Two days shy of her 99th birthday, Florine Griffith Schultz went home to be with the Lord. Florine was born in Pensacola, Florida, but lived in Detroit, Michigan, after marrying James Everet Schultz, where they began a family. They moved to Brooksville, Florida, at the end of the 1960s, where she resided most of her life.
Florine loved corresponding with friends and relatives throughout her lifetime. She always had a card ready to send. She loved her church, reading God's Word, and praying for her friends and family.
Her husband, James Everet Schultz, and son-in-law, Rick Waldemar, preceded her in death. Surviving her are her four children: Kaye Schmuck (Doug), Shirley McLaughlin (Robert), Janice Waldemar, and Paul Schultz (Charlene), along with their families, including eight grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Merritt Funeral Home, 2 S. Lemon Ave.,Brooksville, FL 34601 on Wednesday, May 10, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, services start at 12:00 PM followed by an interment at Florida Hills Memorial Gardens in Spring Hill.
