Dorothea B. Jones

JONES, Dorothea B., 98 of Brooksville, FL, formerly of Bellvale, NY, passed away Monday, March 2, 2015. The daughter of Bernard and Dorothea Beusmann, she was born February 8, 1917 in Queens, NY. She was most proud of working for a bank during the depression helping people avoid foreclosure. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Edward and Lorrilyn Jones; daughter and son-in-law: Dorothy and Gary Higgins; granddaughters: Suzanne Halloran (Francis); Joanne Cook (Steven); Sandra Shores (Richard); great-grandchildren: Frank, Maggie, Nate, Riley and Cooper Halloran, Mason Cook and Jordan Shores; brother-in law William Jones; and several nieces and nephews. Her husband of 67 years, Edward S. Jones, daughter, Nancy Jones, brother, Andrew Beusmann and sisters-in-law Ethel Jones and Florence Beusmann predeceased her. Visitation 11-12, Thursday, March 12, 2015 at Merritt Funeral Home, 2 S. Lemon Ave, Brooksville, followed by a service at noon. Burial immediately following at Florida National Cemetery.
