Donald L. Richards

He was born August 27, 1933 in Hopedale, Ohio and came to Brooksville 61 years ago from Cadiz, Ohio.  He served in the United States Navy and was a Korean War veteran.  He was the owner of Donald Richards Construction and built homes in Hernando County for many years.  He was a member of Faith Evangelical Presbyterian Church and the American Builders Association. 

He was just as happy swinging his grandchildren on a swing

as he was swinging a hammer. 

He is preceded in death by his wife, Louanna Richards.  He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Donald & Kim Richards of Brooksville and Dale & Teresa Richards of Spring Hill, Florida; brothers, William Richards of Ohio and Lawrence Richards of Brooksville; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3pm, Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel, with Pastor David Venable officiating.
