Donald V. Rahl Sr.

Donald was born in Hamden, CT on September 22, 1932 to the late Joseph P. and Mabel (Norton) Rahl.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Jeannie Kerr; granddaughter, Lindsey Moran; three sisters and one brother, all of CT.

He is survived by his son, Donald V. Rahl Jr. (Patti-Ann) of SC; daughter, Catherine Moran of CT; 10 grandchildren and their families; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia Filbert of NC and brother Michael Rahl of VA; along with many nieces and nephews.

A proud patriotic 20 year veteran retired from the U.S. Air Force as Staff Sergeant, Technical Sergeant, and Special Mission serving in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. During his tenure, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. He also retired from the United States Post Office in Clinton, CT.

Proud member of American Legion Post 77 in Inverness, FL where he enjoyed bingo every week with his many beloved friends and neighbors. He enjoyed spending time with his long-time best friend, his cat, Willie Joseph Patrick Rahl. Proud life member of the Disabled American Veterans.
