Cheryl Charlene LeFay

She was born April 10, 1948 in Palmyra Maine and started coming to Brooksville in 2004 for the winters.  In addition to being a registered nurse, she worked for the Canadian Red Cross and was a long time admissions counselor at Penobscot Job Corp in Bangor, Maine.

She is preceded in death by her adoptive parents, John and Florence King; her biological parents, Harley and Dorris Rines; her husband, Allen LeFay; and her infant son, John.  She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Kimball of Brooksville Florida; son, Donald and his wife Patti Elston of Holly Springs North Carolina; grandchildren, Jason and his wife Amy Kimball of Bangor Maine, Allison and husband Ian Barrows of Warwick Rhode Island, and Andrew Elston of Holly Springs North Carolina; great-grandchildren, Dillan Lee, Jayson and Jayla Kimball of Bangor Maine; sister, Chris and husband Alden Graves of Dixmont Maine; brother, John “Jack” Jr. and wife Darleen King of Levant Maine; her beloved dog, Lucky; and her special friend, Tiffany Dearing and husband Ronnie and children Olivea, Gena, and Julio “Brother” of Brooksville FL.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00pm, Sunday, February 23, 2020 at the Imperial Estates Clubhouse, Angelica Avenue in Brooksville.

In lieu of flowers consider a donation to HPH Hospice

who made her last days peaceful and comfortable for Cheryl and her family.
