Bob Salso

SALSO, Bob, age 81, of Brooksville, Florida died Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville, Florida. He was born to Dominick and Jean Salso on May 29, 1940, in Brooklyn, New York. Bob was catholic by faith and a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church. He was a sergeant in the United States Army and served in Korea. Bob was a corrections captain for Rikers Island in New York and when he relocated here in 1990, he worked and retired from the Corrections Corporation of America in Hernando, Sumter, and Citrus counties. He served as a member of the Italian American Club in Spring Hill, Florida and was also a member of the Retired Corrections Captains Club. Bob most enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years: Ann Marie Salso, of Brooksville, Florida; sons and daughter-in-laws: Robert & Susan Salso, of Brandon, Florida; Gennaro & Beth Salso, of Spring Hill, Florida; John & Renee Salso, of Spring Hill, Florida; brother and sister-in-law: Randy & Marie Salso, of New Jersey; sister and brother-in-law: Nancy & John Carbone, of Sarasota, Florida; grandchildren: 10 and great grandchildren: 9.
