Mary M. Julian closed her eyes for eternal rest on March 22nd. She celebrated 99 years of life having been born on October 23rd, 1923 to Mary and Angelo Mele. She grew up with six brothers and a younger sister. They had a very close family life.
On January 29th, 1944 she married Ivan Julian. They had six children losing a son after birth. The household included their four sons, a daughter, Mary's sister, brother and a nephew.
Mary was active in parish, school, and community activities. She worked at Bishop Ford High School for over twenty five years. She had many friends throughout her life but her sister Kay was her very best friend.
As a mother Mary was devoted to her children taking them to the park, beach and museums on the subway. She enjoyed the close relationship she had with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They loved sleepovers, playing games, crafts, cooking, and outings.
Mary is survived by her sons Michael, Lawrence, Anthony Julian and daughter Anne Marie Julian, her nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her infant son Kenneth, her son William, her brothers, Vincent, Anthony, Nicholas, Patrick. William, Carmine Mele and sister, Catherine Saraco.

A visitation for Mary will be held Friday, March 31, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Joseph G. Duffy, 255 Ninth Street, Brooklyn, NY 11215. A Mass of Christian Burial will occur Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church-Brooklyn, 2805 Fort Hamilton Parkway, Brooklyn, NY 11218. A Funeral Service will occur Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 11:30 AM at Green-Wood Crematory, 500 25th st, Brooklyn, NY 11232.
