I am so sorry to hear this news. I will miss running into you in the park with Buddy and our visits at the office. Rest in peace with your lovely Maria.

Greg was family and a gentleman. He was able to easily go from Wall Street slick to Sports Enthusiast in a NY minute. I loved his sense of humor, delicious short order cook breakfasts, show down burgers, rock and roll and The Mavericks experiences.  He kept it real and was a no nonsense guy.  A total gem to his family and friends. Paid attention to detail and this past Christmas took the time to thoughtfully select special gifts and Christmas cards to those dear to his heart. He was a mentor and advocate for many. A great son, husband, relative, friend and soul. The photo is a memory of when his wife Maria brought him to Fishkill to introduce us, 30 years ago — we maintained a beautiful relationship ever since. Greg, Our family loves you dearly and we were blessed to have you in our lives. You will be missed but never ever forgotten.   I can only imagine a sweet and tender heavenly reception comprised of all your loved ones. God Bless You and Eternal Peace Mr. Extraordinary.

I’m so sad to hear of your passing my friend!! I still can’t believe it.  On 9/11 I was not able to get home like most that day and we walked in the door & I met Maria for the first time.  No questions asked you both welcomed me into your home & I will forever be grateful to you both.  I now had Maria as my friend.  Once I stopped working at AIG we kept in touch and Tom & I got to meet you & Maria upstate because it was only one exit from our property.  Small world!  I called you the mayor, because you made friends wherever you went.  God knows you let your crazy friend from Staten Island go on and on & still hung around.  You were one of the good ones & will be missed by many.  As you know my favorite tv show so I get to say “thank you for being a friend” 

I don’t even know where to begin.  Greg and I became friends through AIG in the late 80’s. He was in NYC and I in SC. So imagine how that worked!  LOL!  We immediately became friends and he and Maria would visit me in SC and loved the south!  We would also visit them in NYC and have a blast!  My niece Molly ended up living with Greg and his dad for awhile once they met. She wanted to experience NYC and they were gracious enough to have her stay there. What a lovely soul he was on this earth!  I will truly miss him dearly but my happiness for him is that he is now with Maria again!  I am so thankful that me, my son Jotis, brother Charles and his wife Mary visited with him last July and had a great time!  I will cherish those memories forever!  My thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of Greg’s. He was certainly one of a kind!  Love you my friend and I will see you again one sweet day!  

Greg was a part of our family from the day our dear cousin Maria  introduced him. We all loved him. He was funny, smart, kind, and just an overall good guy. May he Rest in Peace. He will now be joined with the Love of his Life - Maria. Greg, you will  be missed! Our thoughts and prayers are with you.  



Greg I knew you were special the day I interviewed you over 45 years ago, you made me laugh from that day. I am so glad I hired you.  What started out as a boss  employee relationship turned into a long lasting friendship.  You even dressed up as Santa Clause and handed out gifts to our Claim Dept. employees kids, that's how you were.  My heart is broken as you were taken too soon.  I will miss you Greg, may you rest in peace.  

Greg Kenny has been one of my best friends for 40 years.  He was fun, smart, kind & generous.  A gentleman from Day 1.  As any friend of his would tell you, he was always ready to help in any way he could.  When I close my eyes and think of him, I see that big smile and hear him asking to pull the old AIU gang together for lunch (& of course he would be teasing me in some way too).  He was the center of the gang that all had one thing in common, we all loved Greg and thoroughly enjoyed his friendship!  We had so many unforgettable laughs over the years.  I selfishly feel cheated by his untimely passing but, will focus on cherishing the good times we had.  I pray my dear friend is at peace, and eternally reunited with the love of his life, Maria (& his pups that he loved so much.)   My condolences to Benjamin and the many close friends that Greg considered family.  We were lucky to have had him in our lives.   I will miss him forever!
