Frank was born on September 29, 1933 to Salvatore and Lena in Palermo, Sicily and came to Brooklyn, NY in 1939. After graduating from high school as a machinist, he enlisted in the US Navy August 1952.
After 4 active years of service including serving in the Korean War, he returned home to marry his high school sweetheart, Cora, and had 2 children, Frank and Richard. He landed his first job as a Machinist at Marine Aviation in Brooklyn. After that, he worked for the NYC Department of Sanitation as a machinist for 35 years until retiring at age 62. He was very active in the Machinist Union rising to the rank of Vice President. He was an avid bowler his entire life achieving his goal of a 200 average.
After retiring, Frank and Cora moved to Florida. There he continued to bowl and become an incredible shuffle board player. But he was happiest traveling on cruise ships, hitting the craps tables and taking full advantage of the “all you can eat” food buffet. And of course, dancing with his wife to Frank Sinatra and other classics. But what meant the most to Frank was spending time with his family and friends.
Frank was predeceased by his parents, his son Richard, and his three brothers, Tony, Fred and Salvatore. He is survived by his wife Cora, his son, Frank and daughter in law Pamela, and his three grandchildren, Audrey, Francis and Louisa.
