Eva Milazzo, age 71, passed away in her home in Brooklyn, surrounded by her family on Wednesday, January 10, 2018. She was born on February 14, 1946 in Santa Clara, Cuba to Andalia Sosa and Enrique Dominguez. At age 9 she immigrated to the United States with her mother and brother and spent her youth living and working in the Bronx, Queens and Manhattan. On February, 3rd 1974 she married Antonino Milazzo. Together they had 3 children. Eva was a devoted wife and mother and dedicated herself to making a home for the family. She volunteered for many years in hospitals and later in life was a valued group leader in her community church. Her Catholic faith was an essential part of her life. Eva’s greatest joy was gathering with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed her time with her grandchildren. She loved her cats; those she kept inside as pets and those she cared for on the street. To relax she liked reading religious journals and interior design magazines, and she loved watching the Golden Girls and the occasional thriller on TV. She is survived by her beloved husband of 45 years, Nino; son Joseph (Sylvia), daughters, Susana (Joseph) and Cristina (Angelo); 3 grandchildren, Joseph, Lucas and Eva and her brother, Enrique Dominguez . Visitation will be held on Friday, January 12 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm at CUSIMANO & RUSSO FUNERAL HOME, 2005 West 6th Street, Brooklyn, NY. Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, January 13 at noon at Sts. Simon and Jude Church followed by burial at Greenwood Cemetery in Brooklyn.
