Born on August 11, 1943, Cecilia (Or Dede, as she was known to family and friends) grew up in the Park Slope section of Brooklyn with her parents, Ormonde and Mary Rogers, her sister, Katherine, and her brother, Robert. After high school, she went to work as a receptionist. She worked at Welton Beckett, Young & Rubicam, and Debevoise & Plimpton. She truly enjoyed being the first person to greet clients, in addition to handling dozens of phone lines, and retired in 2003.
Dede’s faith was so strong, born again in 1980, and one of the highlights of her life was her trip to the Holy Land, following in the steps and places where Christ lived and taught.
Cecilia is survived by her sister, Katherine (Kay), and her family: niece, Kelly, nephew and his wife, Matthew and Jacqueline, great-nephew, Evan Patrick, and great-niece, Arianna Ashley. She will be so missed by her family and friends.
