There are no strangers here; Only friends you haven’t yet met. – William Butler Yeats
Anthony never met a stranger. He was a beloved son, husband, father, and friend to many who are mourning his untimely passing. He was a kind, loving and generous man.
Anthony was born in the Bronx to Barbara (Gunther) and Joseph Staiano and was raised in Westchester. He went to the University of Delaware and moved to Brooklyn after graduating with his master’s degree in engineering. He met his wife, Ellen Cerniglia, 20 years ago and married her in 2006. Together they created a beautiful family, welcoming their daughter Scarlett born in 2007 followed by their son Salvatore in 2009 and daughter Claramae in 2011. There are no words for the hole his absence leaves in their lives.
All throughout his life Anthony made strong connections with friends – maintaining childhood friendships, college friendships, work friendships, podcast friendships and strong bonds with his wife’s family. He touched all those he met and made a point to maintain these friendships over the years.
For the last five years he was forced to take on a battle with cancer – one that he eventually lost. He worked to maintain a positive attitude throughout, even though he was often in pain and discomfort. While so many will miss him each day, those that love him pray that he is in peace and pain free.
May his memory live on in the hearts of all those who loved him.
