She was affectionately known as "G'ma" by her grandchildren and "Mamma Magno" by close friends.
Ada was a gifted seamstress and worked in that field until starting her family. Later on she had a new career in banking holding various positions at the Greater New York Savings Bank where she made life-long friends. Ada enjoyed travel, reading and knitting. She was one of the "youngsters" of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church knitting group that donated baby blankets to mothers in need. She was famous for her homemade gnocchi and potato croquettes and particularly her homemade ravioli in which she enlisted her family’s help preparing every Christmas.
