Tema J. Kaplan Cushner

Beloved wife of the late Dr. Leonard A. Cushner. Devoted mother of Andrew Cushner of Wellesley and Stuart and Sharon Cushner of Norton. Cherished grandmother of Jenna, Kayla, Eli and Max. Dear sister of Sara Lee Bloom of Brookline. Cherished aunt of Eric and Laurence Bloom. Loving daughter of the late Dr. Edward and Betty Kaplan. Tema was past president of the Edward Devotion School PTA, past president of Women’s American Ort, Brookline Chapter (Organization for the Rehabilitation Through Training), board member of the League School of Boston(a day school for seriously disturbed children servicing greater Boston), and volunteered at The Women’s Lunch Place of Boston, which is an organization that brings homeless women off the streets by feeding them and helping them find living arrangements and employment. Tema also was a counselor at the New Perspective School. Graveside services at the Adath Jeshurun Cemetery, 350 Grove Street, West Roxbury on Sunday, March 17, at 1:30 p.m. Memorial observance at her late residence on Sunday following the interment through 8:00pm and on Monday 6-9pm.
