Sheldon M. Weisman

Sheldon M. Weisman of Peabody, formerly of Lexington, on Sunday, February 19, 2023. Beloved husband of the late Rhea “Rickey” Weisman. Dear brother to Barbara (Brunner) of New York, NY. Devoted father of Richard A. Weisman (Michelle Bannon) of Wilmington, NC; David B. Weisman of New York, NY; and Laurie Ellen Weisman (Jeffrey Bellin) of Salem, MA. Adored grandfather of Samuel J. Weisman (Jennifer) of Burgaw, NC, and their children.

“Shelly” Weisman was born in Brooklyn, NY, on January 11, 1929. He served in the Army Signal Corps during the Korean War and was stationed in Greenland. Under the G.I. bill, Shelly earned an electrical engineering degree from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY, and worked for over 30 years at Avco Corporation (later Textron).

Services will be at Temple Isaiah, 55 Lincoln Street, Lexington on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at noon. Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery, Lexington.

Shiva to be held at 104 Brooksby Village Drive, #617 (West Wind Terrace), Peabody, MA on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at 7:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Temple Isaiah of Lexington, the American Cancer Society, or Care Dimensions of Danvers, MA.
