Selma (Finkle) Innocenti, age 90, died in Manchester, New Hampshire on March 30, 2022. Selma resided in NH for the last eleven years, Beverly and Peabody MA prior to that. She liked to be called Sam. Sam wore many hats over the course of her life: She loved to read and to garden and was often heard singing and talking to her indoor plants. She worked in the fashion industry, as well as the Beverly Hospital for many years where she checked patients in for their procedures. She loved the camaraderie she fostered with the patients and always welcomed them with warm compassion to help put them at ease. Sam loved a good pina colada along with a lobster roll. "Why not," she'd say. She had a great sense of humor and loved a good joke (especially if it was off-color) and in her later years when she had trouble remembering a joke she would make up her own version (she called it embellishing) and would get a laugh out of anyone who would listen. She leaves behind four children and several grandchildren.
Services will be held graveside at Sharon Memorial Park on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at 11:45am.
