When he was finally able to retire from law he wrote a novel called Best Wishes Harry Greenfield, loosely based on the adventures of his father’s life in a nursing home. His other published books include My Honorable Brother, a crime thriller on the corrupt politics of Providence, RI, and two collections of fictional short stories about baseball titled Painting the Corners and Painting the Corners Again.
He was best known for his quick-witted sense of humor, his love of baseball, and his intense loyalty and generosity toward everyone he loved. He loved and was loved by so many friends and family.
