Richard S. Isenberg of Framingham, formerly of Derry, NH and Newton. Devoted father of Andrew Isenberg and his wife Jean of Slingerlands, NY and Stacey Wilcox and her husband James of Framingham. Adored grandfather of Zachary, Lindsey, Brendan and Alyssa. Dear brother of Bruce Isenberg of Boynton Beach, FL. Beloved son of the late Sylvia (Dubb). Loving companion of the late Pamela Tweedie. Services will be held at the Chapel at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham St., Sharon on Wednesday, December 20 at 12noon. Burial will follow at Sharon Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial lunch on Wednesday December 20 at 2:30pm at the Sheraton Tara, 1657 Worcester Rd, Framingham.
Richard was a lifelong fan of Boston sports teams and especially enjoyed the success of the Red Sox and Patriots in recent years. Richard was a player and team manager for many years in the Framingham Men's Softball league. He also golfed at the HoodKroft Country Club in Derry.
Richard also took time to be involved in the communities where he lived. He coached youth baseball in Framingham for several years. He was also very involved in politics in both Framingham and Derry and was recently recognized for his work on the campaign of Hillary Clinton in New Hampshire.
Richard enjoyed the peace and tranquility of his home of over 20 years in Derry, but was also happy to return to Framingham at the end of his life's journey
