Loving mother of Sageet (Dan) Braha, Yaneer (Naomi) Bar-Yam and the late Aureet Bar-Yam all of Newton. Adored grandmother of Shlomiya (Binyamin) Lightfoot, Yavni, Maayan (Teva Apkon) and Taeer Bar-Yam; Neoreet, Lehaveet and Oran Braha; great grandmother of Tirsiyah and Deuel Lightfoot. Parents Nahum Yosef (1887-1936) and Nehama (Hocherg) Mark (1901-1981).
Born in Jerusalem, one of seven siblings. Youth in Israel through War of Independence, moved to the US for educational and professional opportunities. B.A. University of Pittsburgh Summa Cum Laude, MA and EdD Harvard with distinction, Educator Psychologist. Professor of Developmental Psychology and Counseling Psychology and Education; professorships Boston University, Technion, and University of Haifa, Israel and instructor Lesley University; professional contributions in universal moral and interpersonal development, founder of experimental schools; Key Publications: Do women and men speak in different voices? International Journal of Aging and Human Development; Moral Reasoning of Students in Different Cultural, Social, and Educational Settings with L. Kohlberg and A.
