

Marjorie “Robin” Wallace of Portland, ME, formerly of Wellesley, MA passed away peacefully on November 22, 2023.
Robin was the daughter of the late Maurice and Beatrice Robbins. She was married to the late George Wallace for 28 years. She is survived by her two sons, John Sperber and his wife Julianne, and James Sperber and his late husband, Bob Foster, and her grandchildren, Jacob Sperber and Sydney Sperber.
Robin graduated from Newton South High School, then majored in fashion design at RISD. She had a deep love of fashion and art throughout her life, and would attend the annual RISD fashion shows, and often visit local museums with friends.
Robin was an accomplished and avid bridge player and golfer, and was a member at Brae Burn Country Club, where she competed on club teams. Robin loved to go the movies and socialize with friends. She was a notable “food critic” at restaurants throughout the world.
Robin and George spent winters in Laguna Woods, CA where they had many West Coast friends. They travelled to and lived in many countries as part of George’s work, including France, Japan, Portugal and Egypt.
Robin will be dearly missed by her many friends and family.
A Funeral Service will be held at Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard Street, Brookline on Tuesday, November 28 at 11:30am. Burial will follow in Crawford Street Memorial Park, 776 Baker Street, West Roxbury.
Shiva will be after the burial on Tuesday afternoon and evening until 8:00pm, at the home of James Sperber.
