Marjorie (Marge) Libby Bender Gregerman, 89, died December 1, 2023 in Baltimore, Maryland.
Marjorie was born on June 9, 1934 in Weymouth, Massachusetts. She was the eldest daughter of Florence and Joseph Bender. She graduated with a BA from Jackson College of Tufts University and an MA from Johns Hopkins University. Marge enjoyed a career as a medical illustrator and was a faculty member at Johns Hopkins University Department of Art as Applied to Medicine. She and Robert (Bob) Isaac Gregerman, MD married on June 30, 1957. They raised their two daughters, Lisa Gregerman and Debra Gregerman, in Baltimore, Maryland. Marge and Bob moved to San Antonio, Texas in 1992, where they both took great pleasure in continuing their work in science, medicine, and art. Marge was instrumental in the redesign of the Holocaust Memorial Museum of San Antonio and she volunteered as a docent at the McNay Art Museum.
Marge loved spending time with her family, reading, traveling, visiting the beach, discussing art, and doing crossword puzzles.
Marjorie is survived by her sister, Barbara Rosenberger, daughters Lisa Gregerman and Debra Gregerman; son-in-law Shaun Grady; granddaughters Rachel Grady, Jenna Grady, and Eva Lanoue; and beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. She will be profoundly missed in her communities in Baltimore, San Antonio, and across the country.
She was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Bob Gregerman.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 6 at 11:00 am EST at Levine Chapels, located at 470 Harvard St, Brookline, Massachusetts. The funeral service will be streamed for friends and family at https://www.levinelive.com/gregerman
Burial will follow immediately at Temple B’nai Brith Cemetery, located off Route 128/95N in Peabody.
