Marcia passed on May 1st 2022 at home with loved ones by her side after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was the beloved daughter of Eli and Dana Gordon, loving wife of the late Robert J Michaels, preceded in death by her devoted daughter Aimee Michaels (Carole Marsh) and sister to Sylvia Gordon of West Roxbury.
Robert and Marcia opened Longwood Travel in 1970, and built it into a thriving Boston agency. Their love of travel took them all over the world from Marrakesh to Europe to Egypt and beyond. After Robert’s passing in 1995 Marcia took the helm until 2001 when she sold the company to two dedicated employees. Longwood travel continues to exist today.
Known as “Mama Marcia” to many, she was an intelligent and fiercely independent woman who will be most remembered for her grace, fortitude and loyalty.
Throughout her life Marcia bravely faced several types of cancer, the family wants to thank the many doctors and medical staff and the Hospice care givers for their kindness. Most notably Dr. Larry Starr, Dr. Thomas Abrams, and Dr. Graham Steele of Brigham and Womens Hospital.

Services will be held at Stanetsky Memorial Chapels in Brookline on Wednesday May 4th at 11:00AM followed by interment at Sharon Memorial park In Sharon.
