Marc Gerstenfeld

Marc Gerstenfeld, age 55 years, of Franklin on Monday, March 9, 2020. Marc was born in Massachusetts. During his childhood, Marc moved to California, but returned to Massachusetts, where he graduated from Newton South High School (and met Jill Tatelman, who would later become his wife). After high school, Marc joined the United States Navy and served our country aboard the USS New Jersey. After completing his service, Marc graduated from Tufts University and from Suffolk University Law School. Marc represented the State of Massachusetts as a family lawyer before entering private practice.

Marc was an avid Boston sports fan, but his greatest passion was his family. For 19 years, he was the beloved husband of Jill B. (Tatelman) Gerstenfeld. Loving father of Jessica Weiner, Jamie Weiner, and Jack Gerstenfeld. Cherished son of Arthur & Susan (Vernon) Gerstenfeld and the late Peggy (Copelan-Joseph) Gerstenfeld. Dear brother of Steven Gerstenfeld, Tedd Gerstenfeld & Francesca Antezana, Peter & Bonnie Gerstenfeld, Karin Leinwand & Scott Tarbox, and Kim & Steve Erle. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham St., Sharon on Sunday, March 15 at 11:45am.

Memorial observance at the home of Jon & Andrea Grocer, Ashland following the burial through 7pm and continuing Monday from 4pm-7pm.

Education and family were extremely important to Marc. Jack will graduate from high school this spring and will begin college in September. Those of us who knew Marc know that he would want nothing more than for Jack to be able to leave for college without financial worries.
