Lillian Elaine Stein (Baer), aged 95, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2025, at her home in Blackstone, MA, where she lived with her daughter Ellen and son-in-law Scott.
Born on June 29, 1929, Lillian was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, cherished for her warmth and dedication to her family. Lillian was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henry. She leaves behind a loving family: her children, Martin and his wife Susan, Charles and his wife Cheryl, Ellen Moran and her husband Scott, and Lisa Nudelman and her husband Roger; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her devoted service dog, Buddy.
An avid baker and artist, Lillian frequently led classes and shared her skills and passion with others in various community programs. Her hobbies brought joy not only to her but also enriched the lives of those around her.
Graveside services will be held at Sons of Abraham Cemetery, 776 Baker Street, West Roxbury, MA on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at 10 am. A reception will follow at The Hampton Inn, 735 Union Street, Franklin, MA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Second Chance Animal Services, 111 Young Road, PO Box 136, East Brookfield, MA 01515, a place close to her heart where she met her sweet Buddy.
