Age 73, of Newton passed away on June 1, 2024 surrounded by his family.
Larry had an accident in July 2023 in which he fell down a flight of stairs. Miraculously, he survived the fall, fought heroically for almost a year to recover, and ultimately was able to return home in April 2024. He proudly achieved his goal of coming home and enjoyed nearly three weeks with his family. He even got to meet his third grandson, Steven, who was born while he was hospitalized. Unfortunately, Larry suffered a setback in early May 2024 from which he passed away.
Throughout his life, Larry dedicated his time and energy to caring for his loved ones. He was hard-working, disciplined, and always kept his word. He was an architect and also worked in real estate and finance.
Larry studied at Syracuse University, where he met his wife Eileen. They married in 1972. Together they moved to England for a year, where he studied at the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London. Larry earned a dual degree in architecture and sociology from Syracuse in 1973.
He overcame every challenge he faced. In 1993, he had a life-saving kidney transplant and despite obstacles with health for much of his life, he persevered. He cherished every moment and lived his life filled with happiness and gratitude. His resilience and determination were remarkable. He never lost his hope and optimism.
Larry was warm, kind, and intelligent. Everyone who knew him loved him. He was a source of strength for others facing medical challenges and for his family, who watched his courage and determination.
He is survived by his wife, Eileen (Siegel), his brother Warren (and wife Debra Sosin), twin sons David and Adam (and wife Olya), and grandsons Shane, Oliver, and Steven.
