BERGER, Lawrence S. “Larry”, of Framingham, died peacefully on June 27, 2023, at the age of 96. Known as “Pops” and loved by his children Richard, Robert, and Nancy, his grandson Joseph, and his cherished long-time partner, Sue Lewis. A WWII USCG veteran, having served in the North Atlantic Theatre, Pops came home, raised a family in Natick and owned and operated many businesses, including “Bill and Larry’s Texaco” in Nobscot, Framingham, “Edgebrook Kindergarten and Nursery” in Framingham and the “Deli Haus” restaurant in Kenmore Square, Boston. Pops was funny, generous, very strong-willed, and a true force of nature. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, July 2, at 11:00 AM at Beth Israel Cemetery of Everett, 232 Fuller Street, EVERETT. Following interment, friends and family are invited to the home of Bob and Karen Berger until 6 PM, continuing through Wednesday, 4-8 PM.
