Janice A. Berk

Janice (Adler) Berk, formerly of West Hartford, West Newton and Boston, passed away peacefully at age 89, on Monday, August 21, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Robert L. Berk. Cherished and loving mother of Wendy Berk and Cindy (Berk) Monastersky and her husband Richard. Adored grandmother of Rachel Monastersky. Daughter of the late Mildred and Martin Adler and daughter-in-law of the late Dr. Arthur and Sybil Berk. Fond sister-in-law of the late Elaine and Harold Fienman and their surviving children Barbara, Donald and his wife Ann, and their children Rose and Joyce.

Janice was a caring and loving wife, mother and friend whose outgoing personality, warmth and kindness touched everyone she met. She developed close friendships and connections quickly and showered positivity on all. Janice moved through life with elegance, grace and style. She was an advocate for giving back and supported the League School devoted to educating those with Autism, Agassiz Village for children in underserved communities, Hadassah, and the Newton Public Schools. Janice will be missed by so many and will live on through everlasting memories.

A funeral service will be held at the Chapel at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon on Sunday, August 27 at 1:00 p.m.
