Dr. Jacob I. Cohen, age 81 of Simsbury, Connecticut passed away on February 5, 2023 due to an illness. Dr. Cohen was born in Boston, MA to the late Morris and Esther (Book) Cohen. Jacob is survived by his daughter, Nancy C. Faulkner and Brendan Coates; former wife of 40 years, Susan Birenbaum Cohen; sister, Gertrude Nemeth; granddaughter, Hannah Faulkner Clark; great granddaughter, Kristina Clark; and niece, Rachel Nemeth Cohen.
A graduate of Boston Latin School, Harvard and Brandeis University with a PHD in physical chemistry. Following, he accepted a postdoctoral research position at the University of Chicago, and then was recruited by Eastman Kodak, where he had an illustrious career for 30 years…a life well led.
