It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved grandmother, Irene Tarsky, who left us on January 1st, 2025. While our hearts will never fully heal, we find comfort in knowing that her life was rich with love, laughter, and meaningful connections.
Nana, as we all affectionately called her, had a unique gift for making everyone she encountered feel special, valued, and deeply loved. Whether through wise words of advice, a warm hug, or simply offering a safe place to listen, she touched the lives of everyone she met. Her love was unconditional, and her presence was a source of strength and peace to all who knew her.
Irene was not only a devoted grandmother of Daniel and Stephanie but also a loving mother to Julie and Jeff. She was a loving wife to her husband of almost 70 years, Eugene Tarsky, and also a wonderful lifelong friend. Throughout her life, she showed us the power of gratitude. Even in the face of life's most difficult challenges, she never once complained. Instead, she always spoke of how fortunate she felt to have so much to be thankful for. Her smile could light up any room, and there was no one better to have by your side through both joy and sorrow.
She taught us all the importance of family and friendship, and she gave of herself freely, always putting others first. Her resilience, strength, and unwavering love for her family were truly remarkable. Even during the hardest of times, she faced life with grace, humor, and an unshakable strength that will never be forgotten.
Her gentle spirit, love of mahjong, passion for reading, and wonderful sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who had the true privilege of knowing her. Nana’s legacy of love, kindness, and gratitude will continue to live on in our hearts forever. We were truly the lucky ones for having her in our lives.
