I was very sad to just learn of Helen's passing.  She was a lovely, gracious and very intelligent women, and touched everyone she met.  She will be missed.  Shelley Semmler

Sam is a devoted Cornellian and when he married Helen, she joined him and embraced Cornell as if it were her own.  We had an immediate and warm connection and I delighted in her intellect, her warmth and compassion, and she was always 'with it'.   Although we'd lost touch over the years, I've thought about and spoken often of Helen and Sam.  Condolences to the whole family and a big hug to Sam.

Mrs. Dunn was an amazing teacher, and I can't overestimate her influence on me through the courses and time I spent with her. My condolences to her family, I know she was a shining light to them.

I have such fond memories of Mrs. Dunn as one of my English teachers at Winsor. Her caring manner made a tremendous impact on many lives and she will be missed.

Helen was my friend, my Winsor colleague, and an important guide as I tried to manage my transition from self-sufficiency to marriage and later to motherhood.  Some highlights of our relationship:  lunch at Cambridge Chez Dreyfus during which Helen wisely advised me on the eve of my wedding to take each day at a time rather than be overwhelmed by the totality that threatened to overwhelm me; a seminar she and I (a Czech born child of holocaust survivors) led on immigration for a roomful of Winsor alumnae, in those days folks whose ancestors came well before we did.  She and Leo were so kind to my husband and me.  I'm sorry we lost touch once we moved to DC. I think of her often and send my deepest condolences to her family.

Helen was a cherished friend. I always looked to her for advice and guidance concerning my children and choices about their education. I will miss her deeply.
