Eileen M. Feldman, of Needham, passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at the age of 74. Born in Dorchester, to the late Jacob and Gertrude Michaels, she lived life to the fullest. Loving mother of Lauren Feldman Goldberg and David Goldberg of Needham, MA and Russell and Sarah Feldman of Tampa, Florida and doting grandmother to Jake, Nate and Tyler Goldberg and Julian and Mitchell Feldman, she was the strong center of her family. She was the devoted life partner of Dr. Ely Kirschner, of Needham, MA, and extraordinary friend to countless others. Eileen is survived by her brother Steven Dennis Michaels, her sister Suraleah Michaels, and her dear cousin Rena P. Mirkin and the entire Mirkin Family. Eileen and her late husband Alan R. Feldman lived in Brookline for over 25 years. Eileen was beloved by all who knew her and a true lady. Her elegant style, unparalleled grace, and love of the arts were exemplified in all that she did. From her work as a Head Start teacher in Boston, to her interior design business and her work on a medical review board, Eileen brought her warm and special touch to each endeavor. Eileen loved people, making everyone feel special when they were with her.
Funeral services will be held at Levine Chapel at 470 Harvard Street in Brookline at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 6, 2018. Burial will be at Temple Emeth Cemetery in West Roxbury. Shiva will be held at the home of Lauren and David Goldberg immediately after burial until 4:00 p.m., and then from 6:00-8:00 p.m. that evening, as well as on Thursday, June 7, 2018 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 pm., and on Sunday, June 10, 2018 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Please omit flowers. Donations in her name may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute or a charity of your choice.
