Edward L. Pollack

Edward L. Pollack, of East Meadow, NY (formerly of Needham, MA) passed away on January 9, 2023 at the age of 89. He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Alyce and his sister, Eleanor Hart.

Edward, known as Ed to his friends, and Eddie to his family, was born on October 20, 1933 in Boston to parents Albert and Sally Pollack. While much of his adult life was spent in New Jersey and New York, he considered himself a Bostonian through and through. He was a dedicated runner and completed marathons in NY and NJ. Ed loved the Sunday New York Times (especially the crossword puzzle), discussing politics, sampling a variety of cuisines, and his Boston Red Sox. He adored Alyce, his wife of 62 years, who predeceased him by exactly one year.

Ed leaves behind three children: Daughter Laura Lane of Mohegan Lake, NY, her husband Richard, and their two sons Sylvan and Spencer; son Richard Pollack of Newtown, PA.; and daughter Barbara Massina of Garden City, NY, her husband Jeff, and their three children Morgan, Markus, and Leila.
