What is it about people around  Roxbury, Massachusetts?

Our deepest sympathy on the passing of your beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great grandmother , the one whom  her only  son, the  MSU prof  proudly calls:,"MY Mom!!!
"the lady who originated it all.
 A mom whose beautiful life spanned an entire century and then some.  

To so many of us on Motivational success hotline, Corinne E. Gilbert was part and parcel of the our team! 
We, the hotline callers  although we never had the honor and the pleasure of meeting her in person, we had the privilege to hear her voice again and again.As an  interviewee,  a guest  speaker or seminar participant on the numerous marathon  zoom programs. We enjoyed her recommendations for her favorite books, the 'men in the boat", was it?

Even though she never revealed the secret of her kugel she gave us the recipe of a good life, an example worthy of Dr.  David Sinclair and Dr.Michael E. Howard best descriptions:
None, or very minimum smoking, drinking, overeating, moderate exercise and plenty of hard work and healthy social life.

What a joy it was  to send her some of  the  hundreds of greeting cards from every single state in the Union to help celebrate her hundredth birthday, on June 8, 2022..the  very same day my great-niece blew  her first  candle on her  birthday cake.
As Ben franklin said:a long life is not good enough, but a good life is long enough, but he did not get to say anything about a very long and very good life like the one  Corinne Ellis Gilbert lived.
Who can doubt that once upon a time  she must have been a  terrifically great coach , an original trainer if not a masterful trainer?
C’est la vie, we must all exit someday somehow and Corinne E. Gilbert did it as a true class Act.
As  we miss and grieve with you the very beautiful soul from ca. Roxbury, Mass.May it lessen your pain to know that your Mom, Gran and greatgrandma lived  her life as a class ONE Marathon Athlete.

I was thrilled to meet your Mom at your award ceremony looooooooong ago. After all, who wouldn't want to see and thank the woman who gave you life and nurtured you to become the amazing person (and dear friend) that you are?! Thank you also for sharing her with me through your great stories.

My condolences extend to all your family members and your Mom's dear friends, too. May her memory be a blessing. Please know that I am with you in spirit...

There is no way for me to express what I am feeling right now. You have afforded me the opportunity to get to know your mom a bit and it has been an absolute pleasure. I thank you for that.  

Knowing the selfless, kind and caring man you are, it is easy to know what she was like. After all, she raised you.  She is definitely resting in peace now and I can only pray that you and your sister can feel some peace to help you through your grief.

Dear Rob,

Our most sincere sympathy to you, your family, friends, and MSU colleagues on the passing of your mom.  We treasure the stories you've shared on your Success Hotline, in classes, during presentations, and at webinars of growing up under her intelligent, loving, inspirational guidance.  Thank you so much for loaning her to us on those occasions.

For her 100th last June, when you asked your Success Hotline "family" to send you birthday cards from all 50 states so  you could present them to her, we were thrilled to be a part of that celebration.  

God bless her, periodically having her on your hotline for interviews about keeping our minds sharp, longevity, etc. was SO impactful -- she was a hoot!  It seemed like, even on her more sedentary days, she was still more active than many of us.....
