Beverly F. Rubin, of Sudbury, the life of every party and master of sarcasm, peacefully passed away on September 17, 2024, at Sunrise Senior Living in Wayland, Massachusetts. She is now happily reunited with her beloved husband, Jim Rubin, who was undoubtedly waiting for her with a big smile and open arms.
Born in Boston, MA, Bev spent her formative years in Newton, where she joyfully played with friends, her little brother Stephen, and many cousins, honing her skills as both a social butterfly and a voracious reader. Starting in her youth she was often seen juggling 2-4 books at a time, a feat she would continue throughout her life.
Bev’s life took a delightful turn when she met her soulmate, Jimmy. They tied the knot on June 16, 1957, while Jim was in the Air Force. After a few years of living in different places in New England while Jim finished his Civil Engineering degree, they settled in Sudbury in 1968, where Bev reigned supreme as the matriarch of a fun-loving clan, raising three active children—Danny, Nancy, and Linda—and an assortment of dachshunds that were always present and key members of the family.
Bev was the quintessential mom, volunteering for every school function and field trip imaginable. Once the kids were older, she put her energy and organizational skills to good use as a law office manager. She then spent two decades as a Real Estate Agent. Her roles were perfect for her—mixing her love for learning with her passion for meeting people and spreading laughter. With her wit and humor, she was the life of every gathering, charming multiple generations of friends and family.
As a devoted Grammy to her eight grandchildren and Great Grandma to two more, Bev was the ultimate babysitter, often seen cheering from the sidelines at soccer fields, coffee in hand, balancing house showings with family fun.
Bev is survived by her son Dan and daughter-in-law Joan, daughter Nancy and son-in-law Beran, and daughter Linda and son-in-law Ryan. She also leaves her treasured grandchildren: Samantha, Mekenna, Rylan, TJ, Jett, Delcie, Ali, and Teddy, along with her two great-grandchildren, Winston and Cordelia.
In honor of Bev’s commitment to supporting all people, regardless of race, creed, or color, gender and country of origin the family encourages gifts to be made to Act Blue at www.Actblue.com a cause that would undoubtedly make her smile. Or to Buddy Dog in Sudbury to help find homes for loving pets: Buddy Dog Sudbury, 151 Boston Post Road, Sudbury, MA 01776.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the loving staff at Sunrise Living of Wayland for keeping her safe and happy in her final years.
